|Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. At this point you are also able to send the items as gifts to another address, there is a Gift Message field for a short message to be included with your purchase.|
We accept credit card payment or cheque. If you are shopping from an International destination, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.
We accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch. All credit card transactions are taken care of by our own secure server, so you have no fears about giving your card details. However, you may send your credit card information via phone or snail mail if you wish. Simply choose the appropriate payment entry.
Your credit card receipt will be from Skyelight Candles. This is also the name which will show up on your statements.
Alternatively, we can invoice you for payment by cheque. Again choose the option from the pull-down box. If you do choose this option, then your goods will be sent to you only on clearance of your cheque. Only cheques in GB £sterling can be accepted.
|Shipping And Handling Shipping charges are made by weight. This will be calculated automatically and you will then be informed of the total amount before being asked to submit your order. There is a packing charge included in the postal rate. The buyer is responsible for any import taxes or government taxes, duties, etc applicable in their country. |
We are required by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 to inform you that you have the obligation to cancel your order at anytime during the ordering process - this includes when the shipping rates have been calculated for your order.
All items on the web site have an approx weight beside them. This has to be approximate due to the nature of the goods however they should give you some idea of how much the final postage and shipping charges should come to.
For UK First Class Packets here are the current Royal Mail rates:

Up to 1250g - £5.60
Up to 1500g - £6.50
Up to 1750 - £7.40
Up to 2000g - £8.30
Up to 4000g - £10.30
Each additional 2000g or part thereof add £3.50

Up to 8kg - £15.80
Up to 10kg - £18.80
Up to 20kg - £21.90
You will be given the exact amount on checkout - please bear in mind that there is packaging etc to add to this weight and allow for it in your calculations. We need to package these items well in order for them to arrive with you in pristine condition.
|Delivery Schedule We will normally send your order to you within 7 business days . International orders are generally received in under 20 days. However, please bear in mind that most of the items on this site are completely hand crafted and we make them to order, so you may experience a delay in receiving your goods. If such a delay were to be the case, we would e-mail you and let you know. Also, take in to consideration the postage method you choose. The faster the method, the quicker you receive your goods.|
|Remittance All goods must be paid for in full before they are sent out to the customer. If you are paying by card then the transaction will not be processed until the day of sending out your goods. If you opt for the Invoice and Cheque payment method, then please make sure a cheque is sent to us and made payable to Skyelight Candles. We will have to wait until the cheque is cleared before sending out your goods.|
|Tax Charges VAT is not charged on any of the items. The customer is responsible for paying any taxes or import duties, etc applicable to their country.|
|Credit Card Security All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.|
|Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. However, owing to the nature of the goods, please do bear in mind that colours and specifications may change slightly. If you are not satisfied with any order, then please see Returns Policy further down page for full details. However, if you find the candle is not burning properly, then please contact us with a full description of the problem and we will get a replacement sent off to you as soon as possible.|

|Returns Policy All our goods are shipped using the most applicable protective packaging. However, accidents do happen and, if you receive damaged goods then we would ask that you contact us straight away and return the damaged items for a replacement. We must be notified within 48 hours of receiving the goods. |
We are required to inform you under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 that:
(a) If you wish to cancel your order within the first 7 days of placing it you can do by informing us by phone or email - although the chances are that the order will have been sent to you by then
(b) When you receive your order, you have a period of 7 days to decide to return the item for a full refund. If this is the case the item MUST be returned in the condition it was received. If it was in packaging then it must be returned in that packaging and with any decoration still intact. Of course, the candle must not have been used for burning purposes. If the item cannot be returned in this condition then the Regulations state that we may not be able to offer a refund.
(c) If you find there is a problem with the candle once you have started to burn it then we will require a fully detailed report on the problem and a photograph would also be helpful. In such cases we normally do not ask for the return of the candle but will supply you with a replacement free of charge.
